Just a few words about myself and what I am about
My name is Kanta, which means Divine Feminine in the Indian language of Tamil Sanskrit. I was born in North India in the region of Gujerat. I have always been encouraged to be creative as a child by my family. Art, Music and Craftwork have always been encouraged as part of my cultural upbringing. I grew up in England, but have been living the Australian dream for the past 7 years.
My reason for going back to my childhood pastime
As with most mothers, most of the last twenty years were given to bringing up my two beautiful children. But now they are old enough for me not to worry about so much, I feel I can return to my love of the arts…and in the process find my sense of self. I also found myself yearning to be creative and to explore the beauty of things. My creative ventures of artwork, jewelry making and music have also been useful tools for managing stress and nurturing myself.
